Dausa News Desk: On the occasion of Diwali, the Health Department team on Tuesday took action against those selling adulterated and contaminated food items by destroying 68 kg of expired Rasgullas found at a grocery shop. This action of the Health Department created panic among those involved in the black business of adulteration in the area. Food Safety Officer Mukesh Prajapat said that action was taken against a grocery shop and a dhaba in the city on Tuesday.
68 kg of expired Rasgulla was found in the shop’s warehouse, which was destroyed on the spot. Apart from this, samples of cashew nuts and cheese from a dhaba have also been taken from this shop. He said that in the month of September, 34 enforcement actions of food inspection and 26 sampling were taken in the district. Under this, a total of 86 surveillance samples were taken. Of these, 13 were found standard and a total of 13 were found impure.
He told that 4 cases were presented in the court and in the month of September, a fine of Rs 9 lakh 50 thousand has been imposed by the court. On the other hand, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Sitaram Meena said that strict action will be taken against those involved in adulteration. By running a decoy operation in the district, action will be taken against shops, warehouses and manufacturing units selling adulterated tobacco.
Strict action will be taken against adulterants
He said that the rules and regulations of the Fertilizer Safety and Standards Act will be completely followed and strict action will be taken against those who do not follow them. In the campaign, special monitoring will be kept on milk, cheese, mawa and sweets made from them, oil, spices, dry fruits etc.
