Four people of the same family going to a wedding died in a road accident, three injured

Patna, 29 November (IANS). A tragic road accident took place in Bihar’s Arwal district on Thursday evening, in which four people of a family died and three others were injured.

The incident occurred near Parsadi English village under Town police station area of ​​the district at around 7.30 pm. SHO of Town Police Station Ali Sabri said that the victims are residents of Kamta village under Kaler police station of the district. They were going to attend a wedding ceremony in Patna in a Mahindra Scorpio SUV.

Sabri said, “The accident occurred when the speeding vehicle hit a small speed breaker. The driver lost control over the SUV, due to which the SUV slipped and fell into the Son Canal near the road.”

Sabri said that four people of the same family died on the spot. Fortunately, three people survived despite serious injuries. He was immediately taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where his condition is said to be out of danger.

The victims of the road accident have been identified as Parmanand Kumar (30), Priyanka Kumari (28), Parmanand Kumar’s wife Soni Kumari (22) and Parmanand and Soni Kumari’s one-year-old daughter Tannu Kumari. All are residents of Kamta village.

The injured have been identified as Namneet Kumar (20), Savita Devi (30) and Vaijanti Devi (45).

Sabri said, “We have informed the family members about the accident. The bodies have been recovered from the canal and sent for post-mortem. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital.”
