Kota : Ranpur police station area: One of the four workers who had gone for a picnic on Sunday evening at Chattaneshwar picnic spot near Cablenagar died by drowning in water. On receiving the information, Ranpura police station officer Bhanwar Singh and the corporation’s rescue team reached the spot.

The rescue team of the Municipal Corporation said that Manoj Kumar, Ankit, Rituraj and Dharmendra, who work in a factory, had gone for a picnic at Chattaneshwar Anicut at 6.30 pm on Sunday. Dharmendra (32), a resident of Fatehpur district of Madhya Pradesh, went to bathe in the Anicut. When Dharmendra did not return for about half an hour, he was searched for and when he was not found, the police was informed. Corporation diver Vishnu Shringi said that the rescue team left on the information, but faced difficulties due to darkness and no way to go from Cable Nagar to the incident spot. The team started searching for the youth in the light of a torch at quarter to seven, but the youth could not be found. The youth’s companions were also not able to tell the correct place of the incident. Then the rescue work had to be stopped due to heavy rain. Now the search operation will be conducted on Monday morning.
