Pali : The fear of panther attack is not diminishing in Mada village including Pali Sadri Municipality population area. On Monday night, a panther knocked near the female cow shed. To protect the livestock, the villagers stood guard and lit bonfires at various places. No untoward incident occurred due to this. Forest personnel assured to patrol and install trap cameras after providing information. Villagers are carrying out night patrolling after the video footage of the panther’s knock went viral on social media on November 20 at 6.30 pm in the municipal population area Hadawajav, Hanuman Colony, Ashapura Colony, Mahadev Nagar, Krishna Colony and Rajapark area.
When there is movement of panther around the colony, they are spending the night by bursting fireworks. At present there has been no loss of life anywhere. On Monday night, around 7.30 pm, near Mangleshwar Mahadev Cowshala situated on the outskirts of Mada village, the cows started screaming due to the knocking of the panther. Then the villagers became alert. In an effort to save the cows, they set up bonfires at various places, lit them with torches and made noise by bursting crackers and saved the cows. When the villagers informed the forest officer and personnel about this, they assured to increase patrolling and install trap cameras.
