New Delhi : In a late-night operation on Thursday, the Special Cell of Delhi Police engaged in an encounter with Ajay Singroha, alias Goli, a notorious shooter of the foreign-based gangster Himanshu, alias Bhaau Gang. Goli was killed in the encounter. The police recovered two pistols and cartridges from his possession. He was a resident of village Ritoli in Rohtak district of Haryana.
According to the Delhi Police, on May 6, Ajay Singroha, alias Goli, along with his accomplice, had opened indiscriminate fire at a car showroom in Tilak Nagar. He was also wanted in a murder case. He had shot and killed a person named Sundar in broad daylight at Gulshan Dhaba in Murthal on March 10. CCTV footage showed him firing indiscriminately.
The police said that the Special Cell received information around 11:30 pm that Ajay Singroha, alias Goli, was about to come to village Khera Khurd in Outer Delhi. Confirming the information, a police team laid a trap in the area. He was seen approaching the designated location. The police signaled him to stop and asked him to surrender. Seeing himself surrounded, he started firing indiscriminately at the police team. The police were forced to retaliate and he was injured. The police rushed him to a nearby hospital without wasting any time. Doctors declared him dead.
