‘Global South’ think tank alliance established

Beijing, November 15 (IANS). At the opening of the second ‘Global South’ think tank dialogue, under the leadership of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, China Media Group, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Renmin University and more than 200 think tanks in China and abroad and The ‘Global South’ think tank alliance jointly initiated by universities was established in Nanjing city of Jiangsu province of China.

The ‘Global South’ think tank alliance aims to implement key initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the ‘BRICS+’ Leaders’ Dialogue in Kazan, Russia and to build on the experience gained in country governance and cultural exchange and mutual understanding between different countries. Learning has to be promoted.

The Coalition will create a more close-knit ‘Global South’ think tank partnership network, taking full advantage of the unique advantages of think tanks and contributing greater knowledge to the ‘Global South’ working together.

More than 400 people, including think tank scholars, representatives of political parties, as well as representatives of relevant departments, universities and think tanks from China, came from more than 100 emerging market and developing countries such as Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa and Egypt.
