IT raids on 23 locations across the country including Udaipur : Udaipur Transport Company in Jaipur-Udaipur continued for the second day on Friday. This company of Tikam Singh Rao of Udaipur is accused of illegal transportation. During the search, gold worth about Rs 18 crore and cash worth Rs 4 crore was also found in the house of Tikam Singh Rao in Udaipur. The office of Udaipur Golden and Logistic Transport and its associated premises. But search was also done on the next day (29 November). During this search, documents related to transactions worth crores of rupees were also found from the office. Here, 8 lockers are likely to be opened on Saturday.
On November 28, raids were conducted at different locations including Jaipur and Udaipur.
According to Income Tax Department officials, the verification was done after receiving a complaint about illegal transportation of goods from a transport trader. After this, on November 28, the team conducted raids in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Teams are investigating at 2 locations in Gujarat, one in Mumbai, three in Banswara (Rajasthan), one in Jaipur (Vishwakarma Industrial Area) and 19 locations in Udaipur. This action started on the morning of 28th November under the direction of Awadhesh Kumar, Principal Director of Income Tax Department, Jaipur. In this, Joint Director of the department JS Rao and Deputy Director Akshay Kabra are leading the team. This action is going on at 23 locations of the company including Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Mumbai etc. More than 250 officers and employees are involved in this.
25 kg gold found in a house in Udaipur
On November 29 also, searches were conducted at 19 different locations of the transport businessman in Udaipur. These include 3 houses, a warehouse and about 9 offices. During this time the team reached Hiran Magri’s house located in Sector-13. Tikam Singh Rao has three houses in this sector. The search was started here. The team has got 25 kg gold from here. Its price has been estimated to be around Rs 18 crore 34 lakh. This gold was found at the shops and commercial premises of the transport businessman. Apart from this, cash worth Rs 3 crore was also found here.
8 lockers found, likely to contain gold and cash
Income tax officials said that records of 8 lockers were also found during the search. There is a possibility that these lockers may contain a large amount of gold and cash. All these lockers can also be searched on Saturday. Earlier on November 28, the team had also reached the office located in Commercial Colony, Banswara. The work related to this office is looked after by former BJP District President Govind Singh Rao. Govind Singh Rao’s main business is transport. Apart from this, three houses were searched in Ramsingh Ji Ki Bari of Sector 13, Udaipur. The search operation is also going on in the Transport Godown Police Line, 2 km away from the house, the Head Office in Pratapnagar and the Resort in Dabok.

Govind Singh Rao, younger brother of the transport businessman, runs the business in Banswara. Govind Singh has also been the district president of BJP in Banswara. The teams took action at Udaipur Golden Transport office located in Commercial Colony of Banswara and Sagwadiya village. Documents were also searched at his residence and office.
