Jaipur : Many important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal. After the meeting, Deputy CM Diya Kumari and Minister Jogaram Patel gave information about the decisions of the cabinet. Diya Kumari said that the government wants to attract investment for the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit to be held from 9-11 December. For this, Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024 (RIPS-2024) has been approved.
10th pass will be the qualification
Minister Jogaram Patel said that the educational qualification for recruitment to Class IV service and equivalent posts has been increased from 5th and 8th to 10th. Instead of recruitment through interview, Rajasthan Staff Selection Board will recruit them through written examination. Similarly, it has been decided to increase the educational qualification for recruitment to the post of driver from 8th pass to 10th and to bring uniformity in the designations of vehicle drivers in different service rules, it has been decided to make the designation vehicle driver only one.
Written examination for drivers also
Recruitment to the posts of driver will also be done by Rajasthan Staff Selection Board through written examination. This decision taken regarding vehicle drivers and Class IV employees will prove to be an important step towards fulfilling the resolution of the state government to provide 1 lakh government jobs this year. At present, about 60 thousand posts of Class IV employees are vacant in various departments of the state government, on which recruitment will be done in future. The government has also issued a notification for the recruitment of 23 thousand 820 sanitation workers through local bodies.
During recruitment for Class IV posts, a large number of applications were received and applications from graduates, post graduates, L.L.B. Degree holder candidates also applied. Due to selection being done through interview, the departments had to face a lot of difficulties in these recruitments. Due to these reasons, recruitment was not being done on these posts for many years. Now the government has decided to conduct recruitment on these posts through written examination instead of interview.
