Jaipur : An initiative will be taken to provide one-day free training to students in the state on first aid. Governor Kalraj Mishra said that this work will be done in coordination with the Medical and Health Department, Education Department and Red Cross Society. Governor Mishra gave this information in the state level review meeting of Red Cross Society at Raj Bhavan on Monday. It was told in the meeting that for this, 10 master trainers will be arranged from every district with the cooperation of the Health Department.
The Governor also directed to form Red Cross Society in 17 new districts, while Red Cross has also been asked to play an active role in tree plantation, public awareness towards organ and body donation, increasing public participation for medical equipment in the districts. To increase awareness towards organ donation, the process of including this subject in the school curriculum is underway. In the meeting, instructions were also given to make the state anemia free. Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar said that along with Swachhata Abhiyan, more and more work will be done in collaboration with Red Cross for plantation, blood donation, organ donation and body donation. On this occasion, the website of Rajasthan branch of Indian Red Cross Society and the new issue of the newsletter “Red Cross Times” were also launched.
