Ajmer : B.K. A newly married woman died a painful death after falling from the eighth floor of the fifth tower of Kaul Nagar Gokul Dham Society on Monday afternoon. She had reached her in-laws’ house a few hours ago after an inter-caste marriage. At the time of the incident, the husband was also present on the roof with the newly married woman. The bride’s parents have accused the husband of murdering the married woman by pushing her off the building while intoxicated. Christianganj police station is investigating the case. The police have kept the body in the mortuary. The medical board will conduct the post-mortem on Tuesday morning.
According to the police, Raunak Bansal (32), resident of flat number 602 on the sixth floor of B.K. Kaul Nagar Gokul Dham Society, had an inter-caste marriage with Komal, daughter of Deepak Sharma, resident of Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, in a resort on July 7 evening. After the wedding rituals, Raunak reached the flat in the society with his wife Komal at 7 am. In the presence of relatives, during the ritual of ‘Mooh Dikhai’, Komal allegedly told Raunak that she was feeling suffocated in the flat. On which Komal came with Raunak to the roof of the storeroom on the seventh floor. The wall of which was only one foot high. According to Raunak, he left Komal on the roof and came to the store to get a chair. When he brought the chair from the store, Komal jumped from the roof. Due to which she fell on the nearby plot. When the workers working in the plot in front made noise, people from the nearby area gathered. She was taken to Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital. Where doctors declared her dead during treatment.

After the incident, CO Rudraprakash Sharma, police station in-charge Arvind Singh Charan and other police officers inspected the 8th floor terrace and the crime scene at Gokul Dham. The FSL team collected evidence. The police have seized Komal’s mobile phone.
Relationship three months ago, then marriage
A relative of Raunak, a saree businessman from Purani Mandi, arranged his marriage with Komal through a Jaipur resident. The marriage took place on 7 July at a resort in Ajmer with the consent of both the families. Komal’s father Deepak Sharma accused Raunak and his family of harassing him during the wedding regarding the gifts to be given to their relatives and the money to be put in envelopes.

The deceased’s younger sister Sonali said that Raunak was intoxicated during the wedding. Komal was depressed about this. A few hours after the farewell, Komal called her and told her that Raunak had hidden his habit of drinking alcohol and eating gutkha from her.

On receiving the news of the accident, Deepak Sharma reached Ajmer with his family. He told that Komal was the eldest among four children. Komal, who had studied till M.Com, used to teach tuition. She had taken care of the family. He demanded strict action against Raunak and his family. The newlywed died after falling from an eight-storey building. Prima facie, the case appears to be a suicide. The FSL and MOB team have collected evidence from the scene of the incident. The groom has been taken into custody.
