Sirohi : A major accident took place in Sirohi, Rajasthan on Sunday night. Here a Toofan vehicle coming from the wrong side collided with a tanker. In the accident, 8 people travelling in the Toofan vehicle died and 16 were injured. The accident took place near the Canter culvert of Pindwara police station area on the Udaipur-Palanpur four-lane highway. According to the information, all the people travelling in the vehicle were residents of Ugnasar in Udaipur. They were going to Nakoda temple in Pali via Sirohi for labour. On receiving the information of the accident, Pindwara police station officer, Pindwara DSP Bhanwarlal Chaudhary and Tehsildar reached the spot. The Toofan vehicle was completely shattered in the accident. After a lot of hard work, the injured were taken out. After this, all the injured were sent to the government hospital in Pindwara for treatment. From there they were referred to the district hospital in Sirohi.

Giving information about the case, Sirohi’s Additional SP Prabhu Dayal said that if you go to Pindwara for Sirohi, you get on the highway. There is a cut here after one and a half kilometer. From this cut, the Toofan vehicle took a wrong turn and during this, it collided head-on with a tanker coming from the front. There were 29 people in the vehicle. Out of these, 8 died. 16 people are injured while 5 are safe.

In this case, Sirohi Collector Alpa Chaudhary said that the highway has been opened. The situation is under control. Two seriously injured have been referred to Udaipur. What were the reasons behind the accident? This is being investigated. Efforts will also be made to prevent such accidents in future.
