Nagaur News Desk: A special pulse polio campaign was conducted on 8-10 December in some districts of the country including Nagaur. In Nagaur, a target was set to administer polio vaccine to 2 lakh 83 thousand 589 children aged between birth to 5 years. CMHO Dr. Jugal Kishore Saini said that in the 3-day campaign, polio medicines were administered to 2 lakh 73 thousand 441 children. Under this, on the first day, with the efforts of 5450 vaccinators, 228 supervisors, 148 mobile teams and 148 transit teams, medicines were administered to 1 lakh 95 thousand 400 children at 1670 booths.

On December 9, the second day of the campaign, health workers went door to door and administered polio drops to underprivileged children. On the second day of the campaign, 44 thousand 703 children were given polio doses. On the second day, during the vaccination, medicine was given to the children especially in the nomadic community, slums and deprived areas. Top officials of the district visited rural areas and reviewed the polio campaign and appealed not to deprive children up to 5 years of polio medicines. On the third day in Nagaur city, the districts including Nehru Colony, Maharana Pratap Colony, Sansi Basti, Gachha Basti, Railway Station, Old Bus Stand and Roadways Bus Stand, Subhash Colony, area near Jain Dadabari, near Tagore School, etc. Health workers reached various places in India, identified the underprivileged children and administered polio drops to them.
