In this city of Rajasthan, trees are being worshipped by wearing turbans, know the belief

Bhilwara : A unique tradition was seen on the occasion of Hariyali Amavasya in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan. In many villages here, trees and plants are being worshipped and turbans are being tied on them in a traditional way for the protection of the environment. Along with this, the message of environmental protection is being given. This public awareness program has been organized under the leadership of Foundation for Ecological Securities.

A large number of people celebrated Hariyali Amavasya

Thousands of women, children and people from all sections of society are joining the program to celebrate Hariyali Amavasya. Along with this, an innovative initiative is being taken to make the society aware about pasture conservation, saving water and securing our tomorrow. Please note that this year the state government has also started a program ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ to encourage people to plant trees. Similarly, a pledge has been taken by the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Ministry of the Rajasthan Government. This Sankalp program has been named ‘Jal Shakti Se Nari Shakti’, in which a pledge is being taken to save every tree and plant.

This event of worshipping trees was organized at various places in Bhilwara. This program was organized in Mahua, Manpura Amritia, Barundani, Beletha, Gogakheda, Aasind Karera Raipur and Sahada. Trees were worshipped at all the places. They were also tied with safa (turban).
