Jaipur : Before presenting its first full budget, the Bhajan Lal government of Rajasthan gave a big gift to the state employees. On Friday, the dearness allowance of the employees coming under the Sixth Pay Commission has been increased by 9 percent. A notification has also been issued in this regard, in which it has been announced to increase the dearness allowance from 230 percent to 239 percent.

Will be implemented from January 1, 2024

This change will be considered effective from January 1, 2024. In such a situation, the amount of increase in dearness allowance for the period from January 1 to February 29 will be deposited in the GPF account as per the provisions of Rajasthan Government Servants General Provident Fund Rules, 2021. Along with this, cash payment will be acceptable from March 01, that is, the salary for the month of March, 2024 will be payable on April 1, 2024.

There was an increase of 4% in October

Earlier on October 31, before the assembly elections, the Bhajan Lal government had announced a 4 percent increase in the dearness allowance of state employees. This directly benefited more than 8 lakh employees and 4 lakh pensioners. With this, the way was also cleared for giving Diwali bonus to the employees. At that time, the code of conduct was in force in Rajasthan, due to which the government had sent this proposal for permission to the Election Department. Only when the department approved it, the Finance Department issued an order and gave the good news to the state employees.

Assembly session from July 3

During this, on July 10, Rajasthan’s Deputy CM and Finance Minister Diya Kumar Bhajanlal is going to present the first full budget of the government.
