Jaipur : Jaipur NTA has released the notice of UGC NET. From this year onwards, examinations for three categories have started. Now, along with the eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellow in higher educational institutions, one will get admission in the PhD program of the university on the basis of NET score. In the final merit list of PhD, 70 percent weightage will be given to NET marks and 30 percent weightage will be given to interview. Under NEP, students who have completed 4 years of graduation will be eligible for NET. They will be eligible only for JRF and PhD. They will not be eligible for Assistant Professor. Now the competition for JRF will increase even more.
It has been made clear in the brochure that if a question has multiple answers or an error is found in any question, then marks will be given only to the student who has attempted the question. In previous years, the registration for December exam has been done in August and September only, but this time the result of June session has come in October only. 3 major changes in the exam 1. Two subjects have been added in NET. There will be examination for 85 subjects. 2. Under NEP, 4-year UG pass or final year students will be able to appear for the examination. 3. NET result is being declared in three categories. Registration till 10th, exam will be held between 1st to 19th January. Candidates can register till 10th December, the exam will be held from 1st to 19th January.
Corrections can be made in the online application form between 12th and 13th December. Whereas the time for fee payment is till December 11. The fee for general category is Rs 1150, for EWS and OBC-NCL the fee is Rs 600. The fee for SC, ST, Divyang, Third Gender is Rs 325. The criteria for PG and 4 year UG are different. Those who score 55 percent marks in PG will be eligible for NET. Those who graduate in a period of four years will have to achieve at least 75% CGPA.
