Jaipur : Jaipur Blood donation is seen as a gift of life. With the aim of realizing this sentiment, a blood donation camp has been organized in the campus by the Asha Club of JECRC. The main objective of this initiative is to encourage voluntary blood donation in the society. The aim was to ensure availability of blood for needy patients. Students, teachers and local citizens participated in this camp with great enthusiasm. The camp was successfully conducted with the help of various blood banks. These included Narayana, Swasthya Kalyan, Jaipuria, Mahatma Gandhi, Arjun, SDMS, Relief and Gurukul Blood Bank. The camp was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished chief guests. Chief guests included Dr. Rameshwar Singh (IPS), Tejaswini Gautam (IPS, DCP East), international wrestler Pooja Sihag, famous Kabaddi player Raju Lal Choudhary, former Indian basketball team captain Sat. Prakash Yadav and Syed Akbaruddin were included.
As well as former Indian Foreign Service officer and diplomatic expert, Ambassador Syed Akbaruddin and Siddharth Rajhans, who are policy officers and UN thinkers. After participating in the blood donation camp in this event, participated in the session on Developed India and Multilateral Perspective of India. More than 500 students of Law and Liberal Studies of JECRC University also participated in this event. These students gained valuable knowledge on India’s economic position, global partnerships and inclusive global governance from this special session. At the inauguration ceremony, the chief guests shared their views on the importance of blood donation. Dr. Rameshwar Singh said that blood donation is the biggest act of human service. This is a charity that helps save a person’s life. In this sequence, Tejaswini Gautam described blood donation as a medium of inspiration for the young generation.
A large number of people participated in this camp on the appeal of Asha Club. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the youth during the event. Many students came to donate blood for the first time and described the experience as extremely satisfying. 598 blood donors contributed in the camp. This included not only the students and staff of JECRC but also the nearby local residents in large numbers who reached the camp. ASHA has been organizing blood donation camps for the last 17 years and has collected more than 20000 units of blood till date. At the end of the program the organizers thanked all the blood donors, blood banks and chief guests. Hope Club members worked hard to make this event a success and saw it as a great achievement for the club
