Despite being shown in OPD, patients are not being admitted to the same hospital. He has to go to another hospital and get admitted. This case is of Sawai Mansingh Hospital. De-addiction and mental health OPD operates in Dhanwantari block. 150 to 180 patients come here daily. Apart from mental health, many patients also suffer from many serious diseases due to drug addiction. Out of those who come to OPD, there are 5 to 8 patients who need immediate admission, but this facility is not being provided to them here. For this, they are being sent to a psychiatric center 4 kilometers away. Because the de-addiction ward built in Bangar campus was temporarily shifted to the psychiatry center located in Sethi Colony in September 2020 (during the Corona period) which is still there.
Ward shifting efforts are ongoing
After the ward shift from SMS Hospital, serious patients are facing a lot of problems. I am working to get the ward shifted back there. I have also written a letter to the Principal of SMS Medical College in this regard. Now I will meet and talk to him.

Earlier, when a patient was admitted in the de-addiction ward of SMS Hospital, his tests were done immediately and treatment started. Many times there was a need to admit the patient in the ICU. Now all these facilities are not available to the patients in the psychiatric centre. In such a situation, they have to be brought to SMS Hospital again and again. This also causes problems to their family members. Even patients are hesitant in going there.
