The flight from Paris to Delhi was diverted
Actually, Air India flight AI – 2022 left from Paris for Delhi at 10 pm on Sunday night. Which was to reach Delhi at 10:35 am on Monday. But due to bad weather the flight could not land in Delhi. After this, on the instructions of the air traffic control system, the pilot landed the flight at Jaipur airport at 12:10 pm. After this, the pilots kept waiting to get clearance for the flight from the air traffic control system. But even after this, the clearance was not received till noon. So the pilots present in the flight left the plane citing completion of duty time. Due to which more than 180 passengers present in the flight remained troubled at Jaipur airport till 9 pm. During this time, some passengers started creating ruckus at Jaipur airport and started demanding arrangements for alternative flights.
More than 180 passengers remained troubled
Due to diversion of flight AI-2022, more than 180 passengers aboard had to face trouble at Jaipur airport for about 8 hours. Angry passengers started creating ruckus at the airport. However, during this period, the airport authority provided food and other facilities to the passengers to remove their dissatisfaction. But the passenger’s anger did not subside and he started demanding to go to Delhi through an alternative flight. But this was not done by the airlines staff. After which some passengers left for Delhi in their personal vehicles. While some were sent by the airlines company to Delhi via bus.
Jaipur becomes Delhi’s substitute airport
The parking-way was expanded at Jaipur Airport in May. Earlier, 19 aircraft could be parked at Jaipur Airport. At the same time, now there can be 36 plane parks. Along with this, parallel taxi-way has also been ready. Therefore, due to bad weather in Delhi, most of the flights are now being diverted to Jaipur. In such a situation, from November 13 till now, 29 flights have been diverted at Jaipur Airport. Let us tell you that due to bad weather in Delhi on Monday, 15 flights were diverted from Delhi at Jaipur Airport. These included flights from cities like Indore, Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Washington, Dharamshala, Paris and Vijayawada. However, most of these flights took off once again for Delhi within a few hours after getting clearance from the air traffic control system. But the Paris flight could not get clearance for a long time. Due to which more than 180 passengers continued to face problems at Jaipur Airport.
