Jaisalmer : Jaisalmer ACB team took action on Tuesday night and arrested Ramgarh police station sub-inspector Ramlal Jat, head constable Lakshmi Narayan and broker Ajaypal Singh red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 6,000.
Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General Dr. Ravi Prakash Mehrada said that the complainant had complained to Jaisalmer ACB that in return for helping in the Excise Act cases registered against him earlier, releasing the seized motorcycle and not repeatedly searching the grocery shop. Police officers are harassing him by demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 through a broker.
6 thousand taken through broker
Under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of ACB Jaipur II Rahul Kotki, under the leadership of ASP Narpat Chand of Jaisalmer ACB team, the team verified the complaint and took action on Tuesday night and arrested Sub Inspector Ramlal Jat of Ramgarh police station, Head Constable Lakshmi Narayan and broker Ajaypal Singh from the complainant. Arrested red handed while taking bribe of Rs 6 thousand.
4 thousand taken on phone pay earlier also
Even during the verification of the complaint, accused head constable Lakshmi Narayan had collected Rs 4 thousand from the complainant by transferring it to broker Ajaypal Singh through phone pay. Now the arrested accused are being interrogated under the supervision of Additional Director General Smita Srivastava. ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and is investigating the matter.
