Jaisalmer robotic dogs will destroy enemy targets, practice with army

Jaisalmer : Jaisalmer Indian Army is practicing with the Robotic Multi-Utility Legged Equipment (MULE) i.e. robotic dog, which has recently joined the Indian Army, at the field firing range of Pokaran. The training of the Army with this remote dog made with modern technology will further increase the strength of the Army.

100 robotic dogs join the army

Units of Battle Ax Division of the Indian Army successfully completed the practice of finding and eliminating the enemy with this modern dog. Additionally, logistics drones are being tested to improve support and transportation in high altitude areas. It is noteworthy that recently the Indian Army has inducted about 100 Robotic Multi-Utility Legged Equipment (MULE) for use in forward (combat) areas, especially in high altitude areas.

Equipped with thermal cameras and radar

Mule i.e. multi-utility legged equipment has many features. Like it is equipped with thermal cameras and radar. Its biggest feature is its design which makes it capable of crossing every obstacle in snow, desert, rough ground, high stairs and even hilly areas. Not only this, it also has special technology through which it has the capability of firing at enemy targets.

Charges in 1 hour, works for 10 hours

The robotic dog mule, which is called a multi-utility legged equipment, looks exactly like a dog in appearance and stature. Apart from cameras and sensors, it also includes technology to fire at enemy targets while protecting the army personnel from any harm. The Robotic Multi-Utility Legged Equipment is a persistent, agile ground robot designed for all weather use, equipped with electro-optics and infrared technology for object identification.

Increase in strength of Indian Army

China has already incorporated robot dogs into its military operations, a sign of increased deployment of robots in military areas and possibly a new arms race. Now its inclusion by the Indian Army will further increase the strength of the Indian Army.

Can work even inside rivers
This robotic dog can also work inside rivers. This will help the Indian Army enhance surveillance capabilities and ensure vital supplies reach frontline troops without risking human lives. MULEs are important for supply delivery in high altitude areas, forming an important part of the Army’s animal transport. The Army expects to reduce the use of animal transport by 50-60% by 2030.

50 soldiers practiced with 10 robotic dogs

According to military sources, the army exercise ended on Thursday. More than 50 soldiers from a unit of Battle X Division of the Indian Army participated in it. This exercise was done for about 7 days. Around 10 robotic dogs were used in this. During this, robotic dogs were practiced in finding the enemy, carrying weapons, revealing the location of the enemy through cameras and helping the soldiers in difficult situations etc.
