Jhunjhunu 2 female panthers died in 7 days, hunger could also be the reason

Jhunjhunu : Two panthers died in seven days in the mountains of Mansa Mata area. Both panthers were female. One was about two years old while the other was about one and a half years old. The special thing is that the distance of the place of death of both the female panthers is said to be only 700 to 800 meters. According to the information, after the death of one female panther on 17 November 2024, the concern of the forest department increased when the second female panther died on 23 November 2024. As of now on November 17, the Forest Department team has not been able to reach the reason behind the death of the female panther. After the death of the second female panther on Saturday, the forest department appeared to be in alert mode on Sunday. Regional Forest Officer Vijay Kumar Fagedia said that under the leadership of Forest Conservator Jhunjhunu Banwari Lal Nehra, on Sunday, the team of Udaipurwati, Khetri, Nawalgarh, Jhunjhunu and other forest department ranges started the search operation at different places in the mountains. The symptoms of death of both are said to be the same. It is noteworthy that the search team of the Forest Department is definitely pointing out the age difference between the two. Post-mortem could not be done due to non-availability of the team of doctors. Now the post mortem is likely to take place on Monday. The real reason will be revealed only after the post mortem report, but it is believed that hunger could also be the reason.

Death of female panther, a big concern of the department

In the panther safari being developed in Mansa Mata, only one or two female panthers were brought after rescuing them from outside. The panther’s clan increasing due to continuous breeding was good news for the forest. But the death of two panthers, that too a female panther, within a week is a matter of concern for the forest department. Because the panther clan will increase from the female panther. If the female panther is no longer there then who will expand the clan? To find out the reason for the death of the panther in Mansa Mata Panther Safari, a search operation was started on Sunday by taking up different positions. Evidence is being collected during the search operation. The reasons for the panther’s death will soon be known.
