Jhunjhunu : There is good news for the cattle farmers of Jhunjhunu. The state government has upgraded 6 veterinary hospitals in the district. Of these, one has been upgraded to first grade and five to sub-centre veterinary hospitals. Their administrative and financial approval has been issued. Upgrading 05 sub-centres will yield more benefits than upgrading veterinary hospitals. Only compounders are appointed at sub-centres. Veterinarians will be appointed at the veterinary center.
Similarly, cattle herders in the areas of hospitals being upgraded to first class hospitals will be able to get the services of senior veterinary officers. By upgrading veterinary hospitals, animal farmers will get better facilities for treatment of cattle. There will be no need to go away from the village with the cattle.

Kumawas of Nawalgarh subdivision of Jhunjhunu district has been ranked in the first category. Similarly, Nawalgarh’s sub centers Sauthali and Jejusar, Mandawa’s Chandwa, Surajgarh’s Barbar and Dhulwa have been converted into veterinary hospitals.
