Jhunjhunu : Every bus of Jhunjhunu Roadways will now have to run at least 400 kilometers per day. The Roadways Administration took the decision while implementing efforts to increase income and improve the system. Any operation less than this may lead to action against the driver concerned. Average also has to be kept in mind. Roadways drivers will have to pay an average of Rs 33 per km. These changes increased the troubles of roadways drivers. He will have to handle the steering for a longer time. There is panic among the drivers and conductors.
Earlier it used to run 300 kms
According to the roadways management, earlier roadways buses used to run 300 to 350 km on fixed routes. Sometimes it used to be less than this. The headquarters increased the burden on the staff by increasing the kilometres. Roadways are already struggling due to shortage of staff. Earlier, buses in Jhunjhunu depot used to cover a distance of up to 45 thousand kilometers. There has been a decrease in kilometers after the continuously decreasing number of buses. Due to shortage of staff, drivers are already not getting leave. There is a schedule of 77 buses at Jhunjhunu Depot.
If a passenger is found without a ticket, the conductor will be suspended
To save the corporation from losses, the roadways administration started cracking down on the drivers and conductors. The conductors along with the drivers have been restrained. If two passengers are found without tickets in the bus, action will be taken against the conductor. If tickets are not found, the conductor will be suspended. Similarly, the conductors working under Bus Sarathi Scheme will be blacklisted. The security deposit will also be confiscated.
