Jhunjhunu Rohitashv Dhangad took charge of Chirawa Pradhan

Jhunjhunu : Jhunjhunu Panchayat Samiti member Rohitashv Dhangad has been given the charge of head of Chirawa Panchayat Samiti. The state government issued its orders on Monday. After receiving the order, Dhangad took charge late on Monday evening in the presence of Administrator and Tehsildar Kamaldeep Poonia, Jhunjhunu MLA Rajendra Bhambu, BJP District General Secretary Rajesh Dahiya. Indra Doody was suspended from the post of chief on October 12 on the basis of complaints related to corruption and misuse of office, since then the post was vacant. Deputy Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department and Deputy Administrative Secretary (First) Inderjit Singh on Monday issued orders to give the charge of Pradhan to Dhangad. After this, Pradhan Dhangad arrived with his supporters to take charge.

Recently, under the leadership of Ward 3 Panchayat member Rohitashv Dhangad, a no-confidence motion was brought against the then Pradhan Dudi. However, at that time Pradhan Dudi had managed to save the chair. Pradhan was later suspended due to corruption allegations. Dudi became Pradhan on Congress ticket in December 2020.

In the financial year 2021-22, PNS has been ordered to pay Rs 70 lakh to the concerned firm against the tender of Rs 40 lakh for pump set, solar pump set and other works, and Rs 70 lakh for procurement of material under MNREGA and other schemes in the same financial year. Including payment of Rs 83 lakh to the concerned firm against the tender of Rs 1 lakh, allotment of eight shops of Panchayat Samiti in 2021 in the names of personal relatives of the committee members. A complaint was filed making 11 allegations.
