Karauli : Karauli Various problems of the area were discussed in the meeting of intellectuals organized here under the chairmanship of Chief Representative Bahadur Singh Gurjar. At the same time, it was decided to meet the Chief Minister soon to demand the filling of the post of Upazila Collector which was vacant for a long time and the demand for permanentization of Sawai Madhopur Nadauti Chambal Drinking Water Project. In the meeting, Zilla Parishad member Ram Singh Meena, Kaimla Sarpanch representative Rajbahadur Advocate. informed that the post of Upazila Collector in Nadauti is lying vacant for many months. Due to which people are facing difficulty in solving their problems. Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Nadauti Ramesh Chand Koli, former Zilla Parishad member Ashok Chiranwada informed about the drinking water problem and said that they will not get the benefit of Chambal project. He said that most of the pumps installed at the intake well of Chambal project are faulty. Due to which there is not adequate supply of water.
At the same time, a demand was made from the state government to provide adequate budget for stabilization of the project, construction of culvert, shifting of pipeline and new pump. Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Kasba city, Rajendra Singh Rajawat talked about providing adequate drinking water to the villages of Badapichanaut, Sawta etc. including Kasba city by starting the high reservoir built in the village under Jal Jeevan Mission and appointing adequate personnel at Badhrayasna pump house. In the meeting, Assistant Engineer of Water Supply Department, Jitesh Meena told that the work of installing pumps under the mission on Vyas’s Dabra and Badhraisna Drinking Water Scheme is in progress. It will be installed soon and drinking water will be provided in the coming days. He gave information about the works related to water schemes operated under departmental and mission. Principal representative Bahadur Singh Khatana and Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Rajendra Singh Rajawat demanded adequate power supply on Badhraisna Water Scheme. Corporation’s Assistant Engineer Namonarayan Meena assured to take immediate action in this direction. The Chief Representative said that soon a delegation of public representatives will meet Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma regarding the major problems of Nadoti. Roop Singh Amlipura, Rajaheda Sarpanch representative Darab Singh, Bhoor Singh Gurjar etc. were present in the meeting.
