Kota : In the nearly 22 months old case of rape of a minor in Kota, Posco Court No. 3 has sentenced the accused nursing student to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 47 thousand. The accused and the victim are residents of the same village. Special Public Prosecutor Lalit Kumar Sharma said – The 16-year-old victim studies in class 12th. She kept her mobile switched off for a few months and started remaining silent. For this reason the family took him to the village. The accused sent an obscene video on the phone of the victim’s cousin, only then the family came to know about it.
On being asked by the family members, the minor told that while going for coaching, he had met the youth of the village. Then their friendship grew through Facebook. In January 2023, the young man called him to his rented living room, raped him and made an obscene video. The victim’s father had given a complaint at Mahavir Nagar police station on April 11, 2023. On the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigation. The accused was arrested and a challan was presented against him in the court. 19 witnesses and 42 documents were presented in the court.
