Sirohi : Luv-Kush Vatika, developed in the forest area “Matri Van” complex on Abu Road-Ambaji road near Hirapura, about three kilometers from the city, is gaining recognition as a tourist spot for the city residents. Facilities have been provided here for the entertainment of children. A person gets attracted by seeing this garden from a distance, surrounded by various medicinal trees near the Aravalli hills. Forest workers have also put in their sweat in its construction. In Sirohi district, such gardens are only in Sirohi and Abu Road. A garden was constructed in Abu Road last year. The garden has facilities like watch tower, umbrellas, swings, exercise equipment, solar lights on the routes, a big water tank, pulses prepared by forest personnel, drinking water etc.
People come to the garden every day
Every person gets peace from the pure environment here. This is the reason why people and children from Rico, Old Checkpost and surrounding areas of the city come here in the morning and evening for sightseeing. More numbers are there in the evening and on holidays.
planted 2600 saplings
About 2600 saplings of species like Google, Neem, Peepal, Flowers, Sitaphal, Acacia Veliya etc. have been planted in the Matri Forest spread over 13 hectares. Forest workers watered these plants. Now these plants are taking the shape of trees. These trees are enhancing the beauty of the Luv-Kush garden.
Interpretation center will be built
An interpretation center will be built in Vatika on the lines of the big sanctuary area. On which around Rs 30 lakh will be spent. Tenders will be invited for this work soon. At this centre, interesting and informative information about the wild animals, nature, rural environment etc. inside Matruvan will be shown through a model.
