New Delhi, November 25 (IANS). Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a meeting with officials of the Indian High Commission in London on the first day of his UK visit. During this, he discussed in detail the state’s plans regarding industrial development, technical cooperation and global investment.
Expressing happiness over starting his first international trip from Britain, the Chief Minister appreciated the cooperation of the Indian High Commission. He said that it is a moment of pride for me that I am starting this important journey from the UK. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the High Commission team for its guidance and cooperation in preparing for this visit.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that industrial development is one of the top priorities of the state government. He said that the Regional Industry Conclave organized in cities like Ujjain, Rewa, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Sagar has received positive response regarding investment in the state. We are now moving beyond the national level and trying to connect investors at the international level with the development of the state, starting from London.
He underlined the immense potential of Madhya Pradesh in sectors like agriculture, automobile, auto components, pharmaceuticals and IT. He particularly talked about partnership with Britain in the field of technology transfer, skill development and research.
The Chief Minister requested special support from the Indian High Commission for the Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal in February 2025. He said that I have a special request that the High Commission team should cooperate with us in establishing Madhya Pradesh as an ideal destination for British investors.
Indian High Commissioner Vikram K Doraiswami, Deputy High Commissioner Sujit Ghosh, Minister (Economic) Nidhi Mani Tripathi and First Secretary (Trade) Jaspreet Singh Sukkija were present in the meeting. This discussion between Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the Indian High Commission in London is being seen as the beginning of a new chapter in promoting industrial and technical cooperation between the state and the UK.
