‘May God give them wisdom’, Jairam Thakur said on the news of celebration of completion of two years of Congress in Himachal

Mandi, 22 November (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party leader Jairam Thakur has targeted the Congress government on the news of celebrating the completion of two years of the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government in Himachal Pradesh on December 11.

Jai Ram Thakur told IANS on Thursday, “I am surprised to hear that the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh is celebrating its two-year tenure, and the people of the state are also upset to hear this news. Employees in the state are not getting their salaries on time, pensioners are not getting their pensions on time, and the most valuable land in Himachal is on the verge of being sold. Apart from this, orders have been given to close 18 hotels run through the important Hotel and Tourism Corporation of Himachal Pradesh.”

He said that during the two-year tenure in Himachal Pradesh, there were no employment opportunities, even though this guarantee was given, on the basis of which the entire state had supported the government. Nevertheless, if the government thus thinks that much has been done, it is only a sign of progress towards ruin. I don’t want to comment on his thinking, I just want to say that “May God give him wisdom”.

On the Himachal High Court declaring the appointment of six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) in the Himachal Pradesh government invalid, he said, “I am clearly saying that the decision that has come recently in Himachal Pradesh is after a long wait. Has come. It may have been delayed, but the decision has finally come, and we congratulate it. This decision is completely in accordance with the rules, law and the Constitution.”

He further said, “Some Congress leaders are afraid that their assembly membership may be terminated, and because of this fear they are saying that if the membership of six MLAs is terminated, then more people will join the Bharatiya Janata Party. MLAs can be suspended or their membership can be terminated. I just want to say that those who think that they are above the law and the Constitution, they have to understand that it is time for system change. The way change is taking place with a new thinking, results have emerged, whether it is court decisions or government decisions. Since the formation of the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, decisions are being taken continuously, which are disturbing the entire state. I would say that Congress leaders can say whatever they want, but the truth is that Himachal Pradesh has suffered a huge loss during this two-year tenure.”
