Minister Javed Rana said, it is the duty of the government to provide electricity and water to the Rohingyas.

Jammu, December 7 (IANS). The newly elected Omar Abdullah government of Jammu and Kashmir will restore water supply to the Rohingyas in the state, which was cut off on the instructions of the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

State Jal Shakti Minister Javed Rana told IANS on Saturday that it is the government’s duty to provide electricity and water to the Rohingyas and “we will provide these facilities to them”. BJP leader Kavinder Gupta has criticized the government for this.

Javed Rana said, “There is an issue of Rohingya in the entire country. We will take some decisions on humanitarian grounds. As far as water and electricity connections are concerned, I am surprised as to how the department disconnected the connections. I have written to the water department on this matter. Instructions have been given to the power department. It is our duty to provide all the facilities to the people living in these areas and we will provide them.

On this, BJP leader Kavinder Gupta told IANS, “Rohingyas are a big threat to the integrity of the country. When the LG ordered that they will be thrown out of the country, then naturally the question arises that those who are trying to help them will They were settled by them. This means that the government is supporting them in some way or the other. of It raises questions on unity and has to be thought about seriously.”
