Mumbai, December 3 (IANS). Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader and spokesperson Clyde Crasto had a special conversation with IANS on Monday. He expressed his opinion on the statement given by Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, the political situation in Maharashtra and the Mahayuti alliance.
Clyde Crasto said on Mohan Bhagwat’s statement about population control that he should be careful in his statements. Mohan Bhagwat should give his statements thoughtfully, because a section of the community following him takes his statements seriously. In such a situation, it is important that before giving any statement he should ensure that he does not hurt anyone.
He said that Mohan Bhagwat’s statement seems to be related to politics, because earlier he used to say one thing and now he is saying something else. It is wrong to make statements for the sake of politics, we should make statements in the interest of the country.
Clyde Crasto also expressed his concern about government formation in Maharashtra. He said that despite Mahayuti getting majority, the government has not been formed yet, which is very sad. We are seeing that BJP has not yet chosen the leader of the legislature party nor has it claimed to form the government. Even the Governor has not yet invited him to form the government. Chandrashekhar Bawankule has only talked about swearing in on December 5, but has not told who will be the Chief Minister.
He said that Delhi does not have confidence in the Maharashtra BJP leadership, which is why they had to appoint Vijay Rupani and Nirmala Sitharaman as observers in Maharashtra. Now the question arises that what will happen to Devendra Fadnavis? Eknath Shinde’s face was prominent during the elections, but after winning the elections he has been sidelined. This is like a joke with the people of Maharashtra. The government has not been formed since the election results came out, which clearly shows that something is not right within the Mahayuti. The contradictions in Mahayuti are increasing and this is a worrying sign for the politics of Maharashtra.
