Monsoon season hits Rajasthan, heavy rain in these districts, roads flooded

Jaipur : Monsoon is moving towards eastern Rajasthan at a fast pace. Monsoon has covered seven districts. These include Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jhalawar, Baran and Kota. The phase of rain continues in these districts. At the same time, before the arrival of monsoon, heavy rain has also started in other districts of eastern Rajasthan. During the last 24 hours on Wednesday, the highest rainfall of 80 mm was recorded in Dholpur. Bharatpur received 65 mm, Barmer 32.5 and Chittorgarh 27.8 mm of rain.

According to the Weather Centre, the monsoon will cover the entire eastern Rajasthan in the next four days. The monsoon is likely to arrive in the capital Jaipur by June 28. An innocent brother and sister died on Wednesday when the balcony of a house collapsed during rain in Bijapur. Three injured were sent to the hospital. Maval resident Punaram Keer had come to a shop with his wife and daughter Sanya (6) and son Kamlesh (12) to buy an umbrella. When the rain started, they ran towards a house to save themselves, where Sanya and Kamlesh died when the balcony collapsed.
