Three funeral pyres were lifted simultaneously from Lavkush Colony of Merta on Wednesday afternoon. After the death of car rider Ramesh, his wife Parvati and mother Indra Sen of Merta in a collision with a trailer near Bhandu village of Jodhpur, their last rites were performed here in a sad atmosphere. On the other hand, the condition of Ramesh’s father is critical and he is on ventilator in AIIMS Hospital, Jodhpur.

After the process including post-mortem in Jodhpur, the bodies of deceased Ramesh Sen, his wife Parvati Sen and mother Indra Sen reached their home in Lavkush Nagar in Merta City in an ambulance. After the news of the death of three family members, hundreds of relatives, acquaintances, friends and people of the locality gathered. In a sad atmosphere from home, all three funeral pyres woke up together at 4 pm and the last journey began. Which reached Muktidham of Sen Samaj located on Chundia Road here. Here Ramesh and his wife Parvati were cremated on one pyre and mother Indra was cremated on the other pyre. After lighting both the pyres, tears started flowing from the eyes of everyone present there after seeing two pyres burning simultaneously. After the road accident in Jodhpur, public representatives including Merta MLA Laxmanram Kalru, former Municipal President Gautam Tak also reached the spot. During this time, MLA Kalru spoke to the District Collector on telephone regarding providing financial assistance to the dependents of the deceased. The MLA also assured the family members of getting compensation on the basis of departmental action.
