Municipal corporation officer arrested taking bribe in Rajasthan, ACB nabbed him

Sikar : Sikar ACB team took a big action against corruption on Thursday. EO Paramveer Dular of Ajitgarh Nagar Palika of Srimadhopur has been arrested red handed while taking a bribe of 1 lakh 25 thousand for passing the land map. The action went on for more than 6 hours in the Nagar Palika room under the leadership of ACB Deputy Ravindra Singh. After this action of ACB, there was a stir in the Nagar Palika.

2 lakh rupees demanded to get the map passed

According to the information, Nagar Palika EO Paramveer Dular had demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from a person to pass the map of a residential colony. The person had complained about this to ACB on 26 June. After this, the ACB team carried out the trap operation on Thursday.

ACB investigated the complaint

Sikar Anti-Corruption Department Deputy Ravindra Singh said that the complainant told on 26 June 2024 that he is developing a colony named Laxmi Nagar in Ajitgarh town. There, the EO of Ajitgarh Municipality is demanding Rs 2 lakh from him in the name of threatening to cancel the map and NOC related to the land. On his complaint, the demand for bribe was investigated. On finding the matter to be true, the ACB team arrested Ajitgarh Municipality EO Paramjeet Dular while taking Rs 1.25 lakh. On the question of involvement of other people in the case, ACB Deputy Ravindra Singh said that the conversation that took place during the transaction of bribe. After preparing its CD and investigating, if any kind of crime increases, then further action will also be taken. At present, further investigation is going on in the matter.
