Bharatpur : Bharatpur. Four people including a youth from the hilly area of the district have been taken hostage by Naxalites in Odisha. The youth from Mewat drives a JCB machine in a construction company in Odisha. The Naxalites took him hostage by threatening him with weapons. The Naxalites have demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 crore from his family. Faisal, a resident of Samdika village in the hilly area, supports his family by driving a JCB machine in Odisha. Four days ago, Faisal and three other colleagues from the company were working in the forest with a JCB. During that time, a six-member gang of Naxalites took them hostage and sent the youth’s photos and demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 crore. The Naxalites have also threatened that if information is given to the police, the youth will be killed.

Faisal used to drive his own JCB machine on contract in a construction company in Odisha. The work of laying water pipeline was going on there. During that time, a gang of Naxalites held him hostage. The place where the work was going on is a stronghold of Naxalites. The pipeline work was being done through the Sarpanch there. The same Sarpanch is being contacted and the company is claiming to bring back its workers safely.
The family is ready to sell five bighas of land
Faisal’s family is dependent on his job and about five bighas of agricultural land. Even after estimating the price of the land, they are not able to get enough money to pay the ransom. On the other hand, the construction company is maintaining silence after hearing the ransom amount and has refused to pay the money.
SP said- there is no authorized information from Odisha
Deeg SP Rajesh Kumar Meena said that no official information has come to us from Odisha. Apart from the police of other police stations, we are also talking after taking inputs from other levels.
