Jodhpur : The police administration is on alert after the violence that broke out late night in Sursagar, which is considered to be very sensitive in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Police is deployed at every nook and corner to deal with any situation. After the uproar in Sursagar, the police showed strictness late night and controlled the situation. At the same time, the police has now taken a big action in this matter. The police have registered a case against about 200 people. Also, 45 accused of inciting riots have been arrested. Here, tense peace has been prevailing in Sursagar since morning. Let us tell you that after the dispute over removing the gate from the wall of Idgah in Sursagar and then peace, angry people suddenly pelted stones on Friday night. A shop and a tractor were set on fire. The jeep was also vandalized. A police station officer was injured due to stone pelting. On which the police lathi-charged and drove away the people and also fired 4-5 rounds of tear gas shells. Heavy police and RAC have been deployed after the violence. In such a situation, the situation was brought under control late last night, but tension still persists.

A dispute broke out on Friday evening when the work of removing two gates from the rear wall of Idgah near Rajaram Circle in Sursagar began. One side came out in protest. People from the other side also gathered. This led to a tense situation. After the persuasion of the police, it was agreed to close the gate. But, at around 10.15 pm, 10-12 youths suddenly started pelting stones in the traders’ locality. This created a stir. Stone pelting started from the other group as well.
People of one group set fire to Rais’ broom and grass-strip shop. The shop and all the goods kept in it were burnt. The fire was extinguished by calling fire engines. The gate of the house also burned in the flames. The police lathicharged and chased away the miscreants. But, while fleeing, the miscreants set fire to a tractor parked on the roadside in Subhash Chowk area and vandalized a jeep. On receiving information, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sharad Chaudhary and other officers reached the spot. The police dispersed the crowd by lathicharge and firing tear gas shells.
