Ajmer : Ajmer’s government hotel Khadim will now be Hotel Ajaymeru. The Tourism Department has issued an order for this. The department issued these orders following the instructions of Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani had recently instructed the Tourism Department and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Limited to change the name of Hotel Khadim, which is in front of Savitri School near Ajmer Collectorate.

This hotel is a famous place to stay for tourists, officers, employees and common people coming to Ajmer. Its name should also be related to the ancient culture, identity, history and sociality of Ajmer. Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan and even before that, the name of Ajmer was Ajaymeru. In ancient Indian texts and history books, the name of Ajmer is Ajaymeru, hence to easily connect with every tourist coming to Ajmer, the name of the hotel should be Ajaymeru. Devnani has also given instructions to change the name of King Edward Memorial of Ajmer after Sant Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
Ajmer was named after Maharaja Ajayraj Chauhan.
According to historians, Ajaymeru was named by Maharaja Ajayraj Chauhan of Ajmer. He laid the foundation of Ajaymeru in the 7th century. The name Ajaymeru gives a feeling of pride to the people of Ajmer. This is why the name of the city has been written as Ajaymeru in ancient history. Even in geographical circumstances, Ajmer region has been called Ajaymeru. Following instructions from Devnani, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Sushma Arora issued these orders on Monday. The decision was taken in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the corporation. Ajmer’s RTDC Hotel Khadim has been renamed as Hotel Ajaymeru.

Hotel Ajaymeru has 57 furnished and newly renovated rooms of different categories for accommodation.

Catering facility for meetings of government offices and departments will be provided to RTDC Hotel Ajaymeru without tender. Presently Suite, Super Deluxe, Deluxe, AC Rooms and Non AC Rooms are available at State Government fixed rates. Season and off-season discounts are also available on these.
