Jaipur : there is a relief news for railway passengers. Now they do not need to carry cash to the ticket window at the station. They will be able to buy not only general but also reservation tickets by scanning the QR code on the window. Not only this, the railways have also started opening separate counters for online payment. Actually, many times there is a hassle of cash while taking tickets for travel in general coach or reservation coach at the station. One has to leave the queues due to loose change. In view of such problems, the railways have started the facility of online payment. Talking about the North-Western Railway, QR code scanners have been installed at 603 ticket counters so far. Along with this, the facility of unreserved tickets is also being made available to the passengers through digital medium through 211 ATVM machines at 123 major stations of Rajasthan.
Additional counters will be opened at other stations as well
CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran said that additional counters have been started for digital payment at Jaipur and Rewari stations. Here tickets can be purchased only by making digital payment. Such facility will be started at other major stations as well. Here passengers will be able to book general coach tickets and reservation tickets by making online payment by scanning QR code.
