Jaipur : National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has finally revised the toll rates of Jaipur-Kishangarh six lane highway. Now, only half the toll will have to be paid on the return journey between Jaipur and Kishangarh within 24 hours. Last week, NHAI has issued the revised gazette notification of the new toll rates. For nearly 21 years, there was no discount in toll even on the return journey on this national highway. Patrika had published the news on 16 and 17 May and made public the looting of the drivers.
According to the new rules, different categories of vehicles will benefit from Rs 70 to Rs 450 on the return journey between Jaipur and Kishangarh on both tolls within 24 hours. Before the new rules came into force, small vehicles had to pay Rs 280 and large and heavy vehicles had to pay Rs 1800 on the return journey within 24 hours. Now small vehicles will have to pay Rs 210 and large and heavy vehicles will have to pay Rs 1350 on the return journey.
Monthly pass system is also applicable
Before the new rules were implemented, there was no provision for monthly passes on this highway. Now monthly passes can also be made. From small vehicles to big vehicles, monthly passes can be made. Fifty journeys can be made in a month with one monthly pass. The biggest benefit of this monthly pass will be for passenger vehicles, which ply between Jaipur and Kishangarh daily.
