Jaipur : We see that after being affected by a disease like paralysis, a man’s body stops functioning. And he becomes dependent on others. But now this will not happen in Rajasthan because a special wheelchair control device has been prepared for patients suffering from paralysis and muscular diseases. It has been prepared by Ashish, a resident of Jodhpur. Who applied for its patent in the year 2018 and now it has got the patent.
What is the specialty of this device?
Now through this device the patient himself can control the entire device with his head gesture. By wearing glasses with this device, one can do all the work which a healthy person can do. Even moving from one place to another and moving your wheelchair on your own. At present, it has been launched for sale in the markets of Europe and US. Recently, it has also been launched in the medical market of Australia. Soon it will start in India also.
This special machine will be helpful for paralyzed people
Ashish told that this device has been prepared to provide convenience to those patients who do not have control over their body, i.e. those who are suffering from diseases like paralysis which is called paralysis in common language. Patients wearing glasses can control their wheelchair with their head movements. The patient can see the controls of the device on a screen fitted in these glasses. To select any of them, only head movement is required.
Many facilities will be available in this hi-tech device
The device has options like seat control and driving, as well as options like moving the seat up, down and left-right. Along with this, a robotic hand has also been installed to provide convenience to the patient, which will make it easier for the patient to hold something or drink water. He won’t need anyone. The maximum speed of this wheelchair is 12 to 15 kilometers per hour.
Speed will also be controlled by head movement only
This speed will also be controlled by head movement only. If in case of any emergency the sensors do not work and the software of this wheelchair becomes faulty, then by pressing a button provided near the patient’s hand, this wheelchair can be stopped midway.
