Udaipur : Most of the studies and awareness about the changes in adolescence are seen only on girls. Most of the focus in explaining the changes of this age is also on girls, whereas boys are also facing the challenges of adolescence. A researcher from the Community Science College affiliated to Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, made it a subject of study and developed a mobile app to develop understanding in boys to cope with the challenges of this age. The children who used this app showed more understanding than normal children of the same age. Dr. Neeta Gaikwad, working as a teacher in the Agricultural University of Parbhani district of Maharashtra, conducted this study under the guidance of Dr. Gayatri Tiwari of Udaipur. She did her research work on two hundred children aged 12 to 14 years from four government schools in Beed district of Maharashtra.
Changes in those who tried it
Study In this study, the understanding of changes and the ability to cope with them was tested in boys. In the first assessment, it was found that boys have almost no understanding of the changes of adolescence. In the second phase of assessment, 100 out of the targeted 200 children were made to use this app. In the assessment, it was found that the children who used the app had a better ability to understand and cope with age-related changes than other children.
Boys should also be made aware
The objective behind this research is to make boys aware of the changes that occur with age.
