Ajmer : Ajmer’s Hotel Khadim will now be Hotel Ajaymeru. The Tourism Department has issued orders for this. The department issued these orders following the instructions of Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani had recently instructed the Tourism Department and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Limited to change the name of Hotel Khadim located in front of the Collectorate in Ajmer. This hotel is a better place to stay for tourists, officers, employees and common people coming to Ajmer. Its name should also be related to the ancient culture, identity, history and sociality of Ajmer.
Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan and even before that, the name of Ajmer was Ajaymeru. In ancient Indian texts and history books, the name of Ajmer is Ajaymeru. In such a situation, to easily connect with every tourist coming to Ajmer, the name of the hotel should be Ajaymeru. It is noteworthy that Devnani has also given instructions to change the name of King Edward Memorial of Ajmer after the famous saint Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Following instructions from Devnani, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Sushma Arora issued these orders on Monday. In compliance with the decision taken in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, RTDC Hotel Khadim located in Ajmer has been named Hotel Ajaymeru.
