Jaipur : Wedding season is about to start in the country, in such a situation Rajasthan Police is going to start a campaign across the state to stop child marriage. A senior officer of Rajasthan Police has given this information. In this regard, Inspector General of Police (Civil Rights) Jai Narayan has asked all the district superintendents of police to launch “Operation Ladli” campaign and during this time the police will persuade people in various ways not to do so.
‘Abujh Saave’ will start from 12th November
Jai Narayan said that “Operation Ladli” campaign is being started across the state to effectively prevent the evil practice prevalent in the society like child marriage. To effectively prevent child marriage, the police department will run this campaign for six consecutive days from 11th to 16th November, to be held on ‘Abujh Save’ on 12th November. Rajasthan Police said that this is a kind of joint campaign. Everyone will do this together in an effective manner. During this time, the police will convey this message from sub-division level to every village. Police will organize workshops at district, block, school, village level and service providers to sensitize the participants about the campaign.
Promotion will be done through advertisements
Inspector General of Police said that through various mediums like wall writing at service providers’ shops and prominent places, awareness rallies, oath of not doing child marriage in government and religious programs, slogans, documentaries, street plays, hoardings along with advertisements in daily newspapers etc. Effective public awareness will be created through wide publicity.
