Out of the 17 new districts formed in Gehlot government, these 7 districts will be affected, know the complete political maths

Jaipur : the state has 50 districts due to the addition of 17 districts of the previous government and the current government is reviewing the new districts. Politics seems to be dominating over the facilities of the public in the creation of new districts. During the previous government, many districts were gifted to the public representatives. For their review, a committee headed by former Indian Administrative Service officer Lalit K. Panwar took opinion from more than 45 MLAs, 10 MPs and 11 ministers. The committee stayed overnight at 11 places and traveled thousands of kilometers to know the people’s mind, but till the final decision, politics seems to be dominating the public’s mind. Due to politics dominating the creation of districts, districts like Dholpur, Karauli and Rajsamand are still lagging behind in the race of development and economic progress. Many districts created during the previous government are far behind the national average. Some districts were given as gifts, that is why some MLAs were happier than the public at the time of the creation of districts.

Districts increased like this

In April 1982, Dholpur was separated from Bharatpur district, increasing the total number of districts to 27.
April 1991 – 31 districts
1997 – 32 districts
2008 – 33 when Pratapgarh became a district
2023-50 districts

It is true that Dholpur, Karauli and Rajsamand have not been able to take the shape of a district till now. Some districts have become like subdivisions. For development, neither is it good for the district to be large in size. Nor is it good for the size to be very small. An area like Kekri cannot be made a district. The area of the district should be at least 60-70 km. There should be at least 4 to 5 subdivisions in a district. It should also be seen whether there is enough money for development or not, because it is not that difficult to arrange administrative arrangements.
