People associated with ISKCON in Kolkata condemned violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.

Kolkata, December 1 (IANS). The atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and the arrest of ISKCON saint Chinmoy Das are being protested loudly in India. ISKCON Kolkata Vice President Radharaman Das has also condemned it and appealed to the global communities to oppose it.

Radharaman Das told IANS on Sunday, “We all know that what is happening in Bangladesh for the last 100 days is making everyone sad. In the story of Draupadi in Mahabharata, when she was being disrobed, she She looked towards her husband and said help me, Arjun. Then she asked for help from grandfather Bhishma and others, but when no one came to help her, she went to pray to God for help. Today we see that the Hindus of Bangladesh, like Draupadi, are appealing for help to the United Nations and human rights organizations, but no one is coming forward to help them.

He said that crores of our devotees in ISKCON’s 850 temples and thousands of centers located in 150 countries will unite and pray to God like Draupadi. Today, from Vladivostok to Los Angeles, from Colombo to Toronto, from Iceland to New Zealand, all ISKCON devotees are bowing their heads before God and praying for the safety and protection of the Hindus of Bangladesh.”

Another person Pritam Shah said, “We all want the Indian government to put pressure on the Bangladesh government as soon as possible, because the Bangladesh government has completely come under the control of a particular ideology. They have got complete freedom to Do anything, while no strict action is being taken against them. Bangladesh government has become so inactive that Hindu Sadhus are being tortured, Hindu temples are being attacked, and no concrete steps are being taken against it. Moreover, the Indian national flag can be insulted. The Indian flag is being insulted in front of an engineering college. This is very insulting and unacceptable.”

He said, “We are angry after seeing this, because our national flag and our sentiments are being insulted continuously. This situation is very dangerous, and we want to raise our voice against it. My appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi is that he I also request Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar to issue a statement on this issue, but now we need to take more concrete steps in this matter. We hope that the Government of India will Will take effective action on this issue.”
