Playing with people’s health, Food Safety Department takes big action in Jaipur, know the matter

Jaipur : Raids are being conducted continuously by the Food Safety Department in the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. On the instructions of Rajasthan Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, the ‘Pure Food – War on Adulteration’ campaign is going on continuously. Under this campaign, the Food Safety Department conducted an investigation at a reputed juice center in Jaipur. In which it was found that people’s lives are being played with at the juice center. Here people were being served juice mixed with harmful colors and palm oil. In fact, under the direction of Food Safety Commissioner Iqbal Khan, on Monday (September 9), the team of Food Safety Officers of Chief Medical and Health Officer Jaipur II conducted inspection and sampling action at Radha Govind Juice Center, Mansarovar.

Juice center full of dirt
Additional Commissioner Pankaj Ojha said that a lot of dirt was found in the fruit store and the freezer. Frozen desserts and juices were being made by adding colors. Instead of making juice from fresh fruits, fruits were cut several days ago and stored in freezers. Also, harmful colors and frozen desserts made of palm oil were being mixed. Also, several days old cut fruits were found in the deep freezer on which there was no tagging.

There was black fungus in the deep freezer and along with that, rotten fruits, syrup, sugar kept in the open, dirty walls, rusted shelves were found in the warehouse. Samples of medium fat frozen dessert, kiwi shake, papaya shake were taken from here, which have been sent to the laboratory for testing. After receiving the test report, further action will be taken as per the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 Rules and Regulations 2011.

Juice center will get notice
Due to excessive dirt found in the store houses of the firm and disregard of food etiquettes, an improvement notice will be issued under Section 32 of FSSA. Food Safety Officer Deepak Kumar Sindhi, Rajesh Kumar Nagar and Nandkishore Kumawat of Chief Medical and Health Officer Jaipur II were involved in this action.
