Police released posters of 45 miscreants on the basis of CCTV footage

Sambhal, 27 November (IANS). In connection with the violence during a survey at a local mosque in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal on November 24, the police on Wednesday released posters of 45 miscreants on the basis of CCTV footage to identify those involved.

The posters have been released on the basis of pictures taken from CCTV footage. In these pictures, people who instigated the crowd and pelted stones at the police and survey team are seen. The police have also made public the names and addresses of many miscreants.

Police officials say that the damage caused during the disturbance will also be compensated by these miscreants. In these CCTV pictures, these miscreants are seen wearing cloth over their faces and carrying stones in their hands. Some people are also seen pelting stones at the police team and the team that went for survey.

Three women involved in this case were arrested by the police on Wednesday morning. These women are accused of being involved in the disturbance. Orders have also been given by the government to take strict action against the accused involved in the violence.

Till now, more than 100 accused have been identified on the basis of videos obtained from mobile, CCTV footage and drone cameras, out of which 27 accused have been arrested.

SP Krishna Kumar said that strict action will be taken against those who pelt stones at the police. But, “we will also ensure that no action is taken against any innocent person”. All the miscreants are being identified on the basis of the videos that have surfaced regarding the violence. The police are investigating the case keeping many aspects in mind.

Of all the accused arrested by the police so far, there are three whose eyes were seen to have green colored lotion applied on them. When asked the reason behind using it, it was said that by using it the effect of tear gas is greatly reduced.
