Police takes major action against drug smuggling in Chittorgarh, more than 55 bags of Dodachura seized

Chittorgarh : In Rajasthan, the special police team of Chittorgarh district took a major action on Wednesday and seized more than 10 quintals and 40 kg of opium dodachura from a pickup. Whose price is said to be around Rs 1.5 crore. In the operation, a Swift car piloting the pickup has also been seized. Along with this, one empty and 11 live cartridges of 12 bore gun were also seized from the pickup and one accused was arrested. After chasing the car, the smuggler opened fire on the police. Later, the smugglers fled leaving the vehicle after police firing.

Car collides with police barricade

District Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi said that instructions have been given to all the police officers to curb illegal drug trafficking in the district and arrest the criminals. In the same sequence, under the instructions of ASP Sarita Singh and DSP Rural Chittorgarh Shiv Prakash, a blockade was done by the police station officer and the district special team at Palchha Tiraha of Bijaypur police station. During this time, a Swift car was seen coming, which quickly left the blockade site, but during this time the car collided with the barricade and stopped. After this the driver of the car got down and ran away.

Deadly attack on police

After some time, a pickup vehicle was seen coming behind the same Swift car, in which three persons were seen sitting. When stopped by the police, the driver and the person sitting on the passenger side started running away, when DST Munshi Mohammad Uni and other policemen standing nearby tried to catch them, one of them fired at the police with a pistol.

The accused fled into the forest

The police also opened fire in defence. The pickup driver and the person sitting with him ran towards the forest. During investigation, the helper was identified as Udaylal Gurjar, resident of Pemakheda, Bijaypur, who fled from the spot. But in this action the police caught the third person sitting in the middle of the pickup. An unnumbered Bolero vehicle also came behind the pickup, in which three persons were also sitting, but after seeing the police, they turned the Bolero back and ran away. When the police asked the person who had caught the pickup about the people sitting in the Bolero, the name of one was told as Bhanwar, a resident of Badawali.

25 thousand reward announced

After this, the police searched the pickup and found 10 quintals, 40 kg, 820 grams of opium dodachura in 55 black plastic bags. Which was confiscated. In the police action, 36-year-old Lal Singh Rajput, resident of Badawali, has been arrested. Besides, advance research is being done by registering a case under NDPS Act, murderous assault and Arms Act at Bijaypur police station. According to police information, a reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced by the Superintendent of Police office for the arrest of the accused Udaylal Gurjar, resident of Pemakheda, who fled from the spot.
