Pratapgarh : Pratapgarh Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam has started a campaign regarding the dues. In which electricity connections of defaulters who have been outstanding for a long time are being disconnected. On the other hand, there is panic among the defaulters regarding the action of the corporation. Many defaulters are already arriving to pay the outstanding amount. It is noteworthy that the special revenue collection campaign of Electricity Distribution Corporation is being run continuously. Under the campaign, the corporation has now initiated action to disconnect electricity connections if defaulters have not deposited their dues for a long time. The importance of the campaign can be understood from the fact that the Superintending Engineer himself, along with special monitoring of this campaign, is present in the field and making recovery from the big defaulters.
If the dues are not deposited, the electricity connection is being disconnected on the spot. Under the campaign, he visited the area along with Pipalkhunt Assistant Engineer Rajesh Sharma of the district and among the big defaulters, the consumers of Pipalkhunt with 88 thousand arrears and Ghantali consumers with 29 thousand arrears got their connections disconnected on the spot. Under the campaign, under the direction of the Superintending Engineer, Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers in all the subdivisions of the circle are also implementing similar actions in their respective areas. It is worth noting that recently also a notice has been sent to the Municipal Council regarding outstanding dues of more than Rs 2 crore. If the dues are not deposited in the coming days, action will be taken to disconnect the connection. Similar action will be taken continuously.
