Preparations for Ramgarh by-election completed, voting will be held on November 13, strong security arrangements

Kaimur, November 12 (IANS). The district administration has completed all necessary election related preparations for the by-election being held in Ramgarh Assembly of Kaimur district. District administration officials said that voting material along with EVMs, polling agents and police officials were sent to Ramgarh from Maharana Pratap College in Mohania.

Kaimur District Magistrate (DM) Sawan Kumar said that the date of voting for the assembly by-election 203 Ramgarh has been fixed as November 13. Extensive arrangements have been made to conduct the election process smoothly. He said, “Polling parties have been dispatched today itself and adequate security forces have been deployed. I appeal to all voters to go to their nearest polling station in maximum numbers and exercise their franchise.”

The DM said that arrangements for drinking water have been made at the polling stations and waiting rooms have also been made. Apart from this, special arrangements have been made for the disabled voters, such as additional vehicles will be brought to the polling booth by BDOs, so that they can exercise their franchise.

Kaimur Superintendent of Police (SP) Lalit Mohan Sharma gave information regarding security arrangements. He said, “We have made arrangements for election security at many levels, in which all officials of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and state police forces have been deployed. Also, security forces have been deployed in various zones and sectors. Special attention has been paid to traffic management and tight security arrangements have also been made in the dispatch center and strong room of election material.

He also informed that for security reasons, several sensitive polling stations have been identified, where special security forces have been deployed. Apart from this, CAPF personnel will also be deployed at most of the polling stations. SP has appealed to the general public to contribute to the strengthening of democracy by taking part in the elections and vote in a peaceful environment.
